उत्तर
Counterview of ‘Too many cooks spoil the broth’
The maxim ‘Too many cooks spoil the broth’ is used when we want to express the idea that too many people involved in one task can only lead to chaos.
But there is another proverb – ‘Many hands make light work’, which means when everyone works together, the load is reduced and the work is done faster. No matter what the task is, it is important that all the people involved in it are on the same page and have a part of the task specifically given to them. Once everyone is clear on what they are supposed to do, there is no possibility for anything to go wrong. It is always better to perform tasks in teams, whether it is for studying or making a project, shopping, or even cooking. The combined efforts from all the people involved, lead to an even better result than what was imagined at first. Different people may have different viewpoints, but they also have different experiences and they can bring in their knowledge of the current task, and contribute to the end result. Thus, the maxim ‘Too many cooks spoil the broth’ is not always true.
