उत्तर

  1. Convectional rainfall occurs mainly in the equatorial region.
  2. Due to intense solar radiation, the air near the equator gets heated strongly. The heated air expands, becomes lighter, and rises upward as convectional currents. As the air rises, it cools down, causing the relative humidity to increase and condensation to take place. This leads to cloud formation, and the equatorial regions receive convectional rainfall almost every evening.
  3. India is not located in the equatorial region, and the physical features of India mainly cause orographic rainfall.

Therefore, convectional rainfall is not common in India.
