Bindusara succeeded in Chandragupta and ruled up to 273 BC. He conquered many parts of South India after defeating sixteen rulers. There was a revolt in Taxila between Ashoka and other sons of Bindusara. He maintained friendly relations with the Hellenic world or Greek and received many gifts.
