A Story I Enjoyed in My Childhood

One of my favourite childhood stories was “The Lion and the Mouse.” My grandmother used to tell me this story before bedtime. I always looked forward to listening to it because she narrated it with great expression and made the characters come alive.

The story is about a lion who catches a small mouse but decides to let it go. Later, when the lion is trapped in a hunter's net, the little mouse comes back and gnaws through the ropes, setting the lion free. The story teaches that no one is too small to help others and that kindness is always rewarded.

What I liked most about this story was its simple yet powerful message. It showed me that everyone has value, regardless of their size or strength, and that helping others is an important quality.

My favorite character was the mouse because it was kind, brave, and grateful. Even though it was tiny, it did not hesitate to help the lion when he was in trouble. The mouse taught me that courage, kindness, and determination are more important than physical strength.

Moral of the Story: Kindness is never wasted, and even the smallest friend can be the greatest helper.

This story has stayed with me since childhood, and its moral continues to inspire me in my daily life.
