For what value of x is the perimeter of shape 186 cm?

Given, length of the given figure = (5x + 6)
And breadth of the given figure = (2x + 66)
∵ Perimeter of shape = 186 cm ...[Given]
∴ 2 × (Length + Breadth) = 186
⇒ 2 × [(5x + 6) + (2x + 66)] = 186
⇒ 2 × [7x + 72] = 186
⇒ 14x + 144 = 186
⇒ 14x = 186 – 144
⇒ 14x = 42
⇒ x = `42/14`
∴ x = 3
Hence, the value of x is 3 cm.
