उत्तर

`r = sqrt(x^2 + y^2)`

`theta = tan^-1 (y/x)`

Point: (x, y) = `(1, sqrt3)`

`r = sqrt(1^2 + (sqrt3)^2) = sqrt(1+3) = sqrt4 = 2`

`theta = tan^-1 (sqrt3/1) = tan^-1 (sqrt3)`

`theta = pi/3` since the point lies in 1st quadrant

The polar coordinates are:

`(r, theta) = (2, pi/3)`
