Let log₄32 = x
∴ 4^x = 32
⇒ (2²)^x = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2
⇒ 2^2x = 2⁵
⇒ 2x = 5                  .....[ If a^m = aⁿ ; then m = n ]
⇒ x = `5/2`
∴ log₄32 = `5/2`
