Let log₁₀0.001 = x 
∴ 10^x = 0.001
⇒ 10^x = `1/1000`

⇒ 10^x = `1/10^3`
⇒  10^x = 10^-3
⇒ x = - 3        ......[ If a^m = aⁿ ; then m = n ]

∴ log₁₀0.001 = - 3
