The medium for in vitro explant propagation includes a carbon source (e.g., sucrose) for energy; agar as a solidifying agent; macronutrients (e.g., ammonium sulphate, calcium nitrate) and micronutrients (e.g., boric acid, zinc sulphate) for essential elements; vitamins and essential amino acids for growth; and plant hormones (auxins, cytokinins) to stimulate growth and differentiation. The pH is maintained around 5.8 to 5.5.
