उत्तर
Performance and physical adaptations can deteriorate if training stops. This is known as the principle of reversibility. A regular training stimulus is required in order for adaptation to occur and to maintain. When this training stimulus is removed or reduced, the ability of the athlete to maintain his performance at a particular level is also reduced, and eventually, the gains that were made from the training program regress back. This is the basis for the reversibility principle. For example, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness reduce if training is paused.
