उत्तर

Roots absorb water. The xylem in the stem transports water to the plants aerial components, including the leaves. The leaves include water-filled mesophyll cells. Water enters the leaves' mesophyll cells through xylem bundles, which form a vein network.

When leaves absorb sunlight, they transform water into vapour, which collects within intercellular spaces. The intercellular gaps form a linked system that extends to the sub-stomatal cavity.

When stomata stay open, water vapour diffuses out of the leaf due to its higher concentration in the sub-stomatal cavity compared to the surrounding atmosphere. Vapours originate from a thin water film on the surface of mesophyll cells in leaves.
