Area of green portion = Number of complete squares + Number of half filled squares
= `2 + 1/2 xx 4`
= 2 + 2
= 4 square cm
Area of yellow portion = Number of complete squares + Number of half filled squares + Number of more than half filled squares
= `3 + 1/2 xx 2 + 2`
= 3 + 1 + 2
= 6 square cm
