उत्तर

  1. Controversy over the grouping of provinces: Congress rejected the Interim Government plan because it opposed parity between Congress and the League. Congress also considered the grouping unnecessary. Congress also rejected the League’s contention that it alone could choose all Muslim Executive Council members. Congress joined the Constituent Assembly that created India’s constitution.
  2. Leagues acceptance of the Mission plan: The Muslim League agreed to the Cabinet Mission’s suggestions because M.A. Jinnah saw the grouping of states as a way to show support for his desire for Pakistan.
  3. Opposition of Punjab: Punjab was put in Group “B” with other Muslim-majority states, which made the Sikh population strongly oppose the plan. They thought that the Muslim League would be in charge here.
  4. Different views of the Depressed class: The Depressed class has two groups. Babu Jagjivan Ram and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar opposed the notion since the depressed class would only have one seat in the interim administration. Babu Jagjivan Ram supported Congress.
