In Pune, my hometown, I, Priyanka, a determined class 10th student, aspired to become a well-known wildlife conservationist and start my own conservation organization. Among a sea of classmates engrossed in video games, nature was my escape.

During my summer break, I volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary, where I learnt from dedicated conservationists and caught the attention of Dr. Kapoor, a leading wildlife biologist. His offer to help research endangered Western Ghats species opened the way for an extraordinary journey.

A year later, I learnt of a conference dedicated to sponsoring projects by emerging wildlife conservationists. Balancing hard study and intense fieldwork, I carefully recorded unique plant species, analyzed data, and discovered significant insights. On the day of my presentation, the excitement was palpable. When I presented my findings at the conservation conference, I felt a rush of excitement as Dr. Kapoor's praise validated the challenges I had overcome. The Board, together with Dr. Kapoor, was impressed with my efforts and proposed funding for my conservation project. It was a dream come true for an ordinary child like me.
