Three types of blood vessels are :
- Arteries: They carry oxygenated blood from the heart to all parts of the body.
- Veins: They carry deoxygenated blood from the body cells to the heart.
- Capillaries: They form the connection between the arteries and the veins where exchange of substances takes place
