Industrial and commercial waste, agricultural practices, daily human activities and modes of transportation are major causes of pollution. Rapid industrialization, population growth and urbanization are mainly responsible for increasing pollution across the world. Pollution affects air, water and land, making it difficult to sustain life and causing serious health and environmental problems. Both developed and developing countries suffer from its harmful effects. Despite growing awareness and various campaigns, pollution continues to increase day by day.
