उत्तर
The main adaptation is a massively increased internal surface area due to millions of tiny, finger-like projections called villi.
This structure helps in three ways:
- More Space: Villi (and even tinier microvilli) fold the inner lining, providing a huge amount of surface area to absorb nutrients.
- Thin Walls: The outer layer of the villi is only one cell thick, allowing digested food to pass through extremely fast.
- Rich Blood Supply: Each villus is packed with blood vessels that immediately carry the absorbed nutrients away to the rest of the body.
