उत्तर
(a) Gas P: Nitrogen (N2)
Gas Q: Hydrogen (H2)
(b) Ammonia can be converted into nitrogen by reacting it with chlorine when ammonia is in excess:
\[\ce{8NH3 + 3Cl2 -> N2 + 6NH4Cl}\]
Property of ammonia: Reducing property.
(c) Fertiliser S: Ammonium sulphate [(NH4)2SO4]
\[\ce{2NH3 = H2SO4 -> (NH4)2SO4}\]
(d) Process T: Ostwald process.
Conditions: Ammonia is oxidised with oxygen in the presence of a platinum catalyst at about 800°C.
\[\ce{4NH3 + 5O2 ->[Pt][800°C] 4NO + 6H2O}\]
(e) The brown gas is nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and liquid U is nitric acid (HNO3).
\[\ce{4NO2 + O2 + 2H2O -> 4HNO3}\]
(f) Fertiliser A: Ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3)
(g) Process R: Haber process.
