1. Subhas Chandra Bose did something brave by supporting armed rebellion in India’s fight for freedom. 
2. He changed the way the Indian National Army (INA), which was made up of Indian prisoners of war, worked and in 1943 became its Supreme Commander.
3. He came to Singapore and set up the Provisional Government of Free India. His historic calls were “Jai Hind” and “Dilli Chalo.”
4. In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bose raised the national flag and led the INA’s march to Imphal and Kohima. 
5. The INA’s attempts led to a rise in nationalism, even though the campaign failed. Later, the INA trials caused more public unrest, which sped up India’s path to freedom.
