Define the following term:

A centre pass

It is a pass from the centre of the field used to start or re-start the game. 

Explain the following term in hockey:

If the ball goes out from the sideline, the opposite team will receive a sideline hit from the point where it has gone outside.

Indian dribble is a hockey techinque which consists of pushing the bail rapidly from right to left and then from left to right repeatedly by turning the hockey stick.

Define Feinting.

Feinting is done to mislead an opponent in the match of hockey. It is done by quickly pushing the ball forward or laterally with the forehand and catching it on the backhand.

Shovelling

Shovelling is the simplest and the most basic shot. Its execution is simply to push in the desired direction, be the forehand, backhand or the spearing motion.

An Obstruction

Obstruction is when a player prevents another player from playing the ball by (intentionally or accidentally) placing their own body or stick between that other player or their stick and the ball.

Define the following term:

A carried

In hockey, "A carried" refers to a factors in which a player illegally transfers or keeps the ball on their stick for an extended period of time rather than passing, hitting, or dribbling it. This is deemed a foul since the ball must be in motion and cannot be "carried" or balanced on the stick as the player runs or moves.
