उत्तर
Macromolecules are very large polymeric molecules made by the repeated linkage of small units called monomers. Natural macromolecules such as polysaccharides (starch, cellulose), proteins and nucleic acids serve as food, structural materials and carriers of genetic information, while manmade macromolecules (plastics, synthetic fibres, elastomers) are used widely in industry and daily life; the process of forming these giants from monomers is called polymerization.
