The Day I Learnt the Value of Teamwork
Last year, our school organised an inter-house science exhibition. My group was given the task of making a working model on rainwater harvesting. At first, I thought I could do most of the work myself because I wanted everything to be perfect.
Soon, I realised that the task was too big for one person. One friend prepared the chart, another collected the materials, while two others worked on the model. I explained the concept and helped everyone connect the different parts. We also corrected each other’s mistakes and encouraged one another when something went wrong.
On the day of the exhibition, our model worked successfully. The judges appreciated not only our project but also the way we had worked together.
That day, I learnt that teamwork makes difficult tasks easier. When people combine their ideas, skills and efforts, they can achieve much more than one person working alone.
