Rising Unemployment and Poor Working Conditions: Despite rapid economic growth, around 100 million people remain unemployed, and working conditions,particularly for women,are poor, resembling those in Europe during the 18th and 19th centuries. This highlights that employment generation and labour rights have not kept pace with economic reforms.
2. Widening Economic Inequality and Environmental Impact: There is a wide economic gap between rural and urban areas, as well as between coastal and inland regions. Moreover, economic reforms have contributed to environmental damage and corruption, which have reduced the quality of life for many people and increased inequality. These problems show that the gains from the reforms have not been shared equally across China.
