For preventing the occurrence of disease following precautions should be taken:

- Maintain proper hygienic conditions
- Maintain proper sanitary conditions
- Health education and awareness about diseases among masses
- Clean air and safe drinking water
- Medical checkups at regular intervals
- Vaccination.
