It involves preventing runoff and storing and recharging groundwater through various methods, such as percolation tanks and recharge wells. However, in a broad sense, watershed management includes the conservation, regeneration, and judicious use of all natural resources (such as land, water, plants, and animals) and of humans within a watershed. Watershed management aims to bring about a balance between natural resources and society.
