Question

What is drift?

पर्याय

• The movement of charge carriers from a higher concentration to a lower concentration

• The motion of charge carriers under the influence of an electric field

• The loss of mobile charge carriers near the junction

• The development of a potential difference across the depletion layer

Answer 1

Drift is the motion of charge carriers under the influence of an electric field. At equilibrium, the drift current balances the diffusion current.
