(i) The members of both the Houses have absolute freedom of speech in their respective Houses. The legal proceedings cannot be made against them due to the speech or remark made by them on the floor of the House.
(ii) No civil proceedings can be conducted against them when the Parliament is in session. They enjoy the freedom from appearing in court as witness on furors.
