Reason:
A person holding an office of profit under the State Government cannot contest elections to the Lok Sabha, as it would lead to a conflict of interest between the duties of the office and the responsibilities of a Member of Parliament. The Constitution of India (Article 102) disqualifies such persons from being chosen as or being a Member of Parliament.
