उत्तर
A prokaryotic cell does have genetic material, but it does not have a membrane-bound nucleus or typical chromosomes like a eukaryotic cell. Its DNA is present as a single circular chromosome in the nucleoid region.
Cell division takes place by binary fission. First, the DNA replicates, and then the two copies separate as the cell elongates. Finally, the cell membrane divides, producing two genetically similar daughter cells.
