Kirti Bharti, a 29-year-old child welfare activist from Rajasthan, has dedicated herself to protecting children who are forced into marriage by their parents at a young age. Since starting the Saarthi Trust in 2012, she has successfully stopped around 900 child marriages and helped annul 150 underage marriages. Because of her courageous efforts, she has recently been receiving death threats from villagers, caste panchayats, and local politicians. In Rajasthan, incidents of honour killings still occur, leaving many children emotionally traumatised. Through her selfless work, Kirti Bharti has become a ray of hope for these children and serves as a powerful inspiration to the youth.
