उत्तर

Sum of all the observations = 124 + 146 + 156 + 148 + 160 + 136 = 870

Number of observations = 6

Mean = `"Sum of observations"/"Total number of observations"`

= `870/6`

= 145

Arranging in ascending order = 124, 136, 146, 148, 156, 160

n = 6 observations

∴ Two middle numbers

`(n/2)`rd

= `(6/2)`rd

= 3rd

`(n/2 + 1)`th

= `(6/2 + 1)`th

= 4th

Median = `("3rd value + 4th value")/2`

`(146 + 148)/2`

= 147
