Given that, dimensions of plot = 200 m × 150 m and width of road = 3 m
∴ Total area available for houses = Area of total plot – Area of 3 roads
= 200 × 150 – 3 × (3 × 200) ...[∵ Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth]
= 30000 – 1800
= 28200 m2
