My Paralympic mascot is a cheerful snow leopard named Asha, meaning “hope.” She wears a bright blue sports jacket decorated with three colourful swooshes that represent courage, unity and determination. Asha has one strong arm and uses a sleek, specially designed racing wheelchair. Her equipment is not shown as a limitation; it is part of what makes her a confident and powerful athlete. She also wears a medal-shaped badge bearing the words “Everyone can shine.”

Asha’s friendly face and raised fist encourage people to believe in themselves and support one another. She loves trying different sports, from wheelchair basketball to athletics, and always cheers for every competitor—not only the winners. Her favourite saying is, “Different abilities, equal dreams!”

I chose a snow leopard because it is agile, brave and able to overcome challenging terrain. Asha reminds us that success comes from practice, teamwork and self-belief. She also represents the welcoming spirit of the Paralympic Games, where athletes with physical impairments demonstrate their talent and inspire the world. Through Asha, I hope people will celebrate ability, respect differences and make sport accessible to everyone.
