उत्तर १
- Minerals are not dispersed uniformly across space.
- Minerals have an inverse connection between quality and quantity, with higher quality minerals having lower quantities.
- Minerals are exhaustible over time. Geological formations require time to form and cannot be refilled quickly.

The main characteristics of minerals are:
- Crystalline Structure: Every mineral has a specific atom arrangement, which frequently results in unique geometric shapes. For example, a mineral's interior structure influences whether it is hard like a diamond or soft like graphite.
- Physical Properties: Minerals are identified by physical characteristics such as hardness, lustre (the way they reflect light), colour, and density. Geologists use the Mohs scale to determine hardness, which ranges from talc (softest) to diamond (hardest).
- Chemical Composition: A mineral is composed of a single element (such as gold or sulphur) or a mixture of two or more elements (such as quartz, which contains silicon and oxygen). This composition remains very stable.
- Inorganic Origin: The majority of minerals are created through inorganic processes, such as magma cooling or seawater evaporation, rather than from live species’ remains.
- Occurrence in Nature: Minerals occur naturally in a variety of forms, ranging from the hardest diamond to the softest talc. They are commonly found in ores, where they accumulate alongside other elements.
