Mrs. Janny Hall was the proprietor of the Coach and Horses Inn in the town of Iping who had sheltered the Invisible Man. She was a practical woman who did not turn away good fortune which walked in through the door even though she was quite alarmed at the sight of the bandaged man. Mrs Hall was naturally curious but at the same time, she tried to be handle it with supreme effort, she tried to be amiable with the stranger but her advances and enquiries were thwarted.
