(i) Chloramphenicol is a broad spectrum antibiotic. It is used in the treatment of typhoid fever.

(iii) Chloroquine, prevents the development of malaria parasite plasmodium vivax in the blood.
(iv) IUPAC name of chloroform is trichloromethane with formula \[\ce{CHCl3}\]. It is a colourless compound. Volatile, sweet-smelling liquid. Its vapours depresses the central nervous system and used as an anaesthetic.
