उत्तर
- Frederick Winslow Taylor published Principles of Scientific Management. Its primary objective was to increase the efficiency of employees by scientifically designing jobs. He advocated for solving management problems through experiments and scientific techniques, rather than relying on arbitrary rules and a trial-and-error approach.
- Taylor had conducted many experiments at the workplace and as a result of those experiments, he advocated the standardisation of tools and equipment. Standard here means a level of quality or achievement, especially an acceptable level.
- According to him, a standardised working environment and standardised methods of production tools and equipment help to reduce spoilage and wastage of materials. This in turn reduces the overall cost of production.
- Similarly, the use of standardised tools and equipment increases the efficiency of employees and also helps to reduce fatigue among the workers. This improves the quality of work.
