उत्तर
When a neuron receives a chemical stimulation, a nerve impulse is formed. An electrical and chemical signal travels along the neuron as a nerve impulse. Axons terminate at synapse. A synapse is the point at which an axon tip connects to the following structure. The movement of Na+ ions within the axon membrane and K+ ions outside the membrane via an ATP-powered pump causes an action potential across the axon membrane, which generates a nerve impulse.
