Give two points of significance of plateau.

1. Plateaus are usually considered storehouses of minerals. For example, most of the mineral reserves of India are found in the deccan plateau and the chota nagpur plateau. Similarly, the African and Australian plateaus are rich in minerals.
2. Plateaus provide rich grazing grounds which help in animal rearing. Additionally, many plateaus have waterfalls that provide ideal sites for generating hydroelectricity, such as the famous Jog Falls located on the Karnataka Plateau in India.
