उत्तर

We know that the equation of the line passing through the point (x0, x0),

Whose slope is m, (y − y0) = m(x − x0),

Thus, the equation of the line passing through the point (−4, 3), whose slope is `1/2`, is:

(y – 3) = `1/2` (x + 4)

2(y – 3) = x + 4

2y – 6 = x + 4

0 = x – 2y + 4 + 6

∴ x – 2y + 10 = 0

Hence, the equation of the line is x – 2y + 10 = 0.
