3. Nizam was in favour of Pakistan. He was opposed to any negotiations with the Indian administration and cut off all means of communication.

As a result, the Indian government initiated a police campaign against Nizam, which ultimately resulted in his surrender, and the state of Hyderabad was incorporated into India.
