Explain different types of knock-out tournaments.

1. Single knock-out: A team is eliminated after one defeat; no second chance is given. It is economical and quick.
2. Consolation tournament: Gives teams eliminated early another opportunity to compete. In Type I, first-match losers play one another in the consolation competition. In Type II, losers from each regular round may enter the consolation competition for a subsidiary honour.
3. Double knock-out: A team is eliminated only after two losses. It offers a second chance but requires more time and expense.
