Nashik, Maharashtra, June 15, 2022: Mehta Colony's senior citizens have taken the initiative to educate underprivileged children from neighbouring slums. A group of volunteers devotes a couple of hours every Sunday morning to teaching these children. The volunteers also teach life skills, proper hygiene, child care, and nutrition. The group requires adequate space and equipment, and they seek to generate funds for this purpose. Furthermore, the organisation provides shelter and basic needs for homeless animals, as well as the opportunity for adoption. Senior citizens also help with the cleanliness campaign. Their efforts have motivated many people to volunteer in their communities.
It is true that "literacy changes the world through words," and the senior inhabitants of Mehta Colony have demonstrated this through their commitment to education, animal welfare, and clarity. Their selfless contributions to society are a wonderful example of humanity and an encouragement to all.
