Dominant Allele Recessive Allele
An allele that expresses its effect even in the heterozygous condition is called a dominant allele. An allele that expresses its effect only in the homozygous condition is called a recessive allele.
It is represented by a capital letter, e.g. T. It is represented by a small letter, e.g. t.
Example: T for tallness in pea plants. Example: t for dwarfness in pea plants.
