Homogenous mixture
- Constituents – uniformly mixed.
- Properties and composition the same throughout the mixture.
Example: Alloys, (salt + water), air, etc.
Heterogeneous mixture
- Constituents – not uniformly mixed.
- Properties and composition not the same but vary throughout the mixture.
Examples: (oil + water), (iron + sulphur).
Solid – solid homogenous mixture is brass (Cu + Zn) - Solid – solid heterogenous mixture is (iron + sulphur)
