Democracy is a rule of the majority. The poor are in majority. So democracy must be a rule of the poor. How can this not be the case?

Democracy is based on the majority’s ideas. It means that in every choice or election, various people and organisations can and do form a majority. So, claiming that democracy must be a rule of the poor will further divide society along economic lines, resulting in conflict. Democracy exists only as long as every citizen has the opportunity to be in the majority at some point in time.
