All you are saying is that democracy ensures that people do not break each other’s head. This is not harmony. Should we be happy about it?

When a democracy attempts to accept social diversity, it does not guarantee that individuals will not break each other’s heads. In fact, democracy teaches us to appreciate these disagreements and develop procedures for resolving them. We should be grateful that only in a democratic system can we live with dignity and freedom, without regard to our differences.
