To construct the trapezium steps are:
- Draw a line segment BC = 5 cm [Establishing the base of the trapezium]
- Mark a point E on BC such that EC = 4.5 cm, making BE = 0.5 cm} [Setting up the base for auxiliary triangle ABE]
- With B as center and radius 3.6 cm, draw an arc [Marking the distance for side AB]
- With E as center and radius 3.6 cm, draw another arc intersecting the first at A [Locating vertex A using property AE || CD]
- With A as center and radius 4.5 cm, draw an arc [Marking the distance for parallel top base AD]
- With C as center and radius 3.6 cm, draw another arc intersecting the previous arc at D [Locating vertex D to complete the trapezium]
