- The constituents i.e. iron and sulphur are seen separately.
- Iron attracts and clings to the magnet.
- On adding dil. HC1 to the mixture H2 gas evolves.
Iron [II] sulphide is a compound
- It is a black solid.
- On bringing a magnet near it we cannot separate iron.
- On adding dil. HCl to it H2S gas evolves.
