A mixture of iron nails, salt, oil and water can be separated by the following steps:
- Hand pick the iron nails or remove by magnet.
- Remove the oil by decantation or separating funnel.
- Evaporate the salt and water solution by evaporation. Water can be condensed back and the salt is left behind.
